Planning your visit to Fruit Acres? Our Frequently Asked Questions page has all the information you need, from U-Pick policies to pet rules and payment options. Learn about our guidelines, what to bring, and how to make the most of your time at our farm.

Due to fire safety, smoking, tobacco, and e-cigarettes are only permitted inside guest vehicles. Please place remnants in receptacles.

  • You are welcome to walk around the parking lot and picnic/play areas only with your leashed dog. Please no pets inside the stand. The ONLY exception is ADA service animals. Per the ADA, emotional support dogs are not permitted. 
  • You must immediately and completely clean up after your pets, trash receptacles are available in the public areas for this purpose. Please bring materials to clean up after your dog.
  • You will be asked to remove the dog if they are creating a disturbance or are a danger to other guests.
  • These rules apply to all dogs – including dogs in strollers, held in arms or in purses.

We accept cash, credit, and debit.

We will supply any ladders for picking as well as containers. 

You do not need to climb trees or skin your knees.  You are valuable to us and so are our trees.

U-Pick availability is dependent on the weather, so please call ahead or visit our home page for updates or Facebook to get a better idea on ripening times to plan your trip. Ripening dates can vary as much as two weeks earlier or later from year to year.

Please keep in mind that you are visiting a working farm.  Proper attire should be worn at all times including shirts and shoes.  Closed toed shoes, layered clothing, hats and sun block are some of the items that you may want to consider when preparing for your visit. Please note that our farm grounds consist of dirt, gravel, grass - dust and mud are weather dependent.

An entrance fee is charged for visitors ages 6-99 on weekends.

9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily

U-pick:

Cherries:
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily

Peaches & Apples:
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays when in-season.

Yes. Our customers come to our orchard to pick their own fruit fresh from the tree, and since we can't put the fruit back on the trees once it's been picked, it must be paid for by the person that picked it.

Each year the date changes as we're on nature's timing, but typically the third week in September is when we have Honeycrisp. We do not have Honeycrisp for U-Pick.

Honeycrisps will be for sale at the farm stand.

At U-pick there are portable toilets.

We ask that you pick in the containers we provide to allow for a swift and accurate check out experience. You can transfer to your own containers after checkout and coolers are a good idea to keep produce fresh.

No. To protect the privacy and safety of our visitors we have a no-drones policy on the orchard.

Jake’s Country Meats will provide customers with the perfect slices of meat for you to pair with our fresh fruits and vegetables. You can find chicken, beef, pork, fish and jerky. A one stop shop for dinner!

Michigan Cheese from Farm Country Cheese for a wide variety of fresh, antibiotic-free, artisanal cheeses. Some of the flavors include: Michigan Jack, Bacon, Onion & Garlic, Cheddar, Tomato Basil and more. You can also find cheese curds to satisfy your cheese cravings! Farm Country Cheese works with local Michigan farms to bring the highest-quality and freshest cheese to you.

Milk! We now offer fresh milk from Amish Country Dairy. Amish Country Dairy provides a unique and natural dairy option for your daily glass of milk. Our signature cream-top dairy comes in a variety of natural flavors, using only real ingredients.

Eggs also from Jake’s Country Meats. Take home a dozen eggs and know that they are pasture raised eggs from hens raised without the use of antibiotics and fed a NON_GMO diet.

Candles Choose from a wide variety of scents. These make perfect gifts!
